VIDEO: Tubi Exhuast System on EVO Stage III 997TT
Hi guys sorry for the delay in getting this done but we now finally have a few sound bites of the new Tubi Exhaust system for the 997TT. The sound is certainly very distinctive as you've come to expect with their systems. It's not quite as high-pitched as the ones that we've seen before and no doubt the VTG turbos have something to do with it. Inside the car once you mash the throttle you really hear those turbos spool up. Intoxicating to say the least. I would say it's on the "louder" side of the spectrum as far as 997TT exhausts come and go so if you want "quiet" then this would not be the way to go. As with other Tubi Exhausts, this one uses extremely light-weight materials and hence we measured a 36 pound weight saving over stock. The installation was a breeze and fitment was factory/perfect. 200 cell cats were used as opposed to 100 cell but flow-wise/power-wise compared to any of the other Stage IIIs we've done I certainly didn't notice ANY less power. The other mods to the car thus far include the EVO VTG headers, GIAC Programming with Race, Valet, Kill (my favorite for freaking James out when he tries to start cars to put them inside) and Stock modes, OEM SSK, Tech Art pedals, Fabspeed Tips and later this afternoon some HRE 590Rs.
The weather has been rather poor over here in Northern California and along with some rain we've had some high winds. Hence I apologize in advance for some of the wind noise but we did the best we could. I will get another clip shortly once the car comes back in for more body work- stay tuned for that because there will be a couple of "first-seens"
I will update the site with a project page shortly so you guys can follow the build
