It comes with chrome logos from the factory. I thought it was a little too blingy for my tastes. I noticed that every other model from Porsche comes with painted aluminum logos except for the Turbo which comes with chrome versions instead.

my bad, when you said it was lot of work, i was inferring that you had decided to skip that step. i think as cheap as they are to buyline, i would just replace them. not to mention the backing on the new one keeps everything aligned till you get it all to stick.

Painted ones from Eric isn't cheap at $129 apiece. That's why I suggested that path.

Chrome ones are cheap OEM.

ebay is your friend. i think mine was $20, although it's not painted. i can't imagine it would cost more than $20 to have a local porsche body shop spray it, especially since they would stock most of the colors.

Guys, you're losing it.

The process to paint over the plastic is tedious, complex, and time consuming.

Yes, you can get a can of spray and have at it. And maybe it will hold. What WE do, on the other hand, takes over 4 man-hours to complete, is a multi-stage process, and mimics how the bumper cover is painted in the factory. The coating on the oem logo looks like chrome - but it's not. And that is the tricky part.

Prep time is mostly what's involved between stages. We don't rush this stuff, so it looks BETTER than factory. Same goes for things like the console. Factory painted consoles, side by side to ours, no comparison. Just ask the dealers who have testimonials on our site.

But again, you CAN do it on the cheap.

You get what you pay for. Now back to your regularly scheduled program....

Got a silver one from Gert in double quick time. I agree the chrome is not best look. Especially on darker coloursIMO.

Chrome is kind of "blingy" - may take mine off completely and go logo-less. But, a black or flat black one might be stealthy enough to consider. If I had a grey shade car, I might do a flat black or matching grey. Choices, choices, choices... nice to have, but hard to do!

It is weird that its the only piece of chrome on the whole car. I think painted would look best.

Actually that's not true. Look at the headlight washer cover, it's chrome unless you order them painted. Or even the keyhole on the driver's side, the tailpipes (unless yours is one of the earlier builds that came with stainless steel versions..or even the headlight assembly. There's a whole more chrome bits than you realize.
