Keep one thing in mind, once you remove your logo that logo will probably not be usable again if you deceide to go back. I think all color to match logos work, even Meteor Grey. Nothing wrong with the stock logo, but I think you can spruce it up a bit if you want to make it more interesting? Color to match logos take a little "bling" out of the car and it has enough "bling" to start with IMO.

if you just add more adhesive to the old adhesive, doesn't that just raise it up some off the paint. i would think it wouldn't fit nearly as flat as the way the factory did it since you'll have double layers of tape.
