Electronic Gremlin in radio...?

While driving and listenting to FM radio all the sudden the radio will get louder then turn channels. Always turns to the same channel as if it was a default channel. Any insight? Thanks.

I think you have traffic program on. Tunes in to the traffic report when there's an alert.

I thought about that too but in tunes into a lovely country station which really kills my driving buzz. How is the traffic report station setup? How do you change what channel it tunes to. Thanks for the insight.

I had this on my last 996tt cab. Strange, it seemed to happen at about the same geographical location each time!

That is too funny. Yes there are some glitches with the radio. Mine has a very. Althought I would rip it out of the dash if it turned its self to a country station!

This is an issue in several parts of the country. The radio stations use "PI" codes in order to display station and song name on your radio. If 2 of these different radio stations have the same code, the radio will tune into whichever is strongest. If you have a rock and country station on the same code, you have it set to the rock station, but the signal from the country station all of a sudden becomes stronger, it switches. This is nothing you can do, this is with the radio stations. All the ones around here have been more than happy to change this, because it's not just you, and it's not just Porsche.
