Turbo Tip Acceleration update

would like to know if anybody was able to get even somewhere near the porsche claimed 3.7 sec 0-100 km/h ??

i think its impossible without violently torque-braking, which was discussed before and concluded to be very harmful to the car...

basically the time claimed by porsche is not doable....
my best run from standstill was 4,2 sec.

anybody else can offer more insight ?

wouldn't this be false advertising by porsche ?

my friends sl55 is listed at 4,6 sec and delivers on the spot. if his f430 delivers on the spot as well, then i will have no chance of keeping up and am going to loose a long standing bet.

4 - 4.2 seconds is about right if you just mash the gas and go. Yes..the kid in the Evo can hang for a car length of two

It's a sophisticated acceleration measurement tool. Plugs into the cigarette lighter and costs about 500 bucks. They are highly accurate too.
