Ordered 2008 997

Just placed an order for my first Porsche. Car is going to be built first week in July, and the dealer swears there are no changes for 08 just the price. I guess I will have two months of sleepless nights before the car comes in. Does anyone have a confirmed amount of the price increase for 08???

I think the price increase is highest on the Turbo unfortunately..between 3 and 5k from memory. BUT...we might get some options now included as standard - but no confirmation as of yet. Im sure if we do the options will be useless ones.

I heard the price increase is roughly going to be $1500 or so. Not the 3-5K mentioned in some articles. The extended DVD NAV option is now standard.

I am sure it will trickle in very soon as to the exact amounts. I was going to order an 08 but the wait was more than I wanted. If you can get it within 2 months that is awesome! So I went with an 07 with several % off the car.

I am already getting grief for not getting an S. Honestly this car was the best balance of speed,price,and options. Maybe for my next one since I haven't kept a car for more then 8 months for the last ten years since I have been driving. This should be the best performing car that I have ever had, I had a M3 Convertable SMG a few years ago.

Golf - why not spend the money on the S and keep the car longer than 10 months so you don't take a bath on each sale. Save yourself the loss and order an S or TT

Guys I haven't driven the S but is the immediate feeling when driving this car that much different from a Carrara, maybe I should drive it. Also would you guys rather have a stripped down version of the S then a loaded Carrara with the options that you feel make a 85k car??? I don't know im not convinced, It seems like no one has a Carrara at least an S. When I had my M3 my biggest complaints was that the car felt like a stripped car, not very luxurious ,Stereo sucked leather sucked just didn't feel worth it. Champion has a few stripped down S on the lot for around 84k , but doesn't have the full leather or even the sports seats which I think make the interior of the car, I don't know call me crazy.

The market for a pre-owned low mileage 07 Carrera S is abundant. Have you looked into those?
