Just got the car back from the dealer. They said it's a fairly common issue.

They took apart the pedal assembly and lubed it and it's totally fine (for now)...will let you know if anything changes.

 

Same problem here..my dealer tell me is a common problem and only annoying but that will not cause problems...hope he is not wrong..

 

Raclaims just read your post, I had the same problem about a month ago and had to take it to the dealer because it was annoying (it happened all of a sudden when returning from an afternoon drive). Anyhow the dealer fixed it aparantly has something to do with a clutch cable guide but he didn't elaborate and it took no more than a couple of hours to fix. About 1000 miles later everything seems fine. At least the cable didn't break, that would of been a bummer. It happens at the very bottom going down and then again at the bottom going up (that is when the part fails). Wondering if it has something to do with the hydralic clutch assembly?

 

Incredibly the clutch is squeaking again...but now only on the way up...WTF?? I can't believe I have to bring it back again...UURGGHH
