Clutch Squeak?

I have noticed that my clutch is squeaking just before the pedal hits the floor and again when I raise it...does anyone else have this? Is it just a matter of an adjustment or something?

Thanks!

My old 996 did that too, something to do with the hydrolic assist on the pedal.

Very minor, but yes. Reminds me of my 996 cabs, but not as loud.

Try spraying the linkage with WD40 under the dash, might help.

You could try this mod that I ran into over on Rennlist. Not sure whether it works on the 997.

I have not done it, but the guys over there seem to like it.

Doubt that will help... its in the housing of the transmission. if its the hydraulic system.... you need to use a high temperature lubricant..

I have this same problem, it doesn't squeek, it CREAKS, like the sound at a halloween haunted house. Anyway, my dealer told me this is a problem and it CAN'T be fixed. I don't believe them. What say you guys? The sound is LOUDER outside the car. I think it even affects driving, as it vibrates as it's creaking. HELP!!

My clutch still squeeks and drives me nuts...you resurrecting this thread finally gave me the impetus to do something about it...I have an appointment next week for the dealer to look at it. Will let you know what happens.
