Clutch Squeek?

Thanks!
I have this same problem, it doesn't squeek, it CREAKS, like the sound at a halloween haunted house. Anyway, my dealer told me this is a problem and it CAN'T be fixed. I don't believe them. What say you guys? The sound is LOUDER outside the car. I think it even affects driving, as it vibrates as it's creaking. HELP!!

Posted at 997 originally, seems to be a 996 problem as well.

It's the dealer where I bought the car. I complained about the noise the day after I bought it. They agreed to fix it, I took the car in and they messed it up worse. I could barely push in the clutch it was so tight. So I had to bring the car back, they fixed the tightness of the clutch and the "creaking" wasn't totally gone but it wasn't too bad, this was about 4 months ago. It has only gotten worse again.

So I took it back in, they called me the next day and said they can't fix it. So I picked up my car and it is continually getting worse.

All they have to do is pull the slave and put some grease on the end of the slace piston where it mates with the TOB release arm.

Mine squeaks at the 80% point when I depress the clutch. Can only be heard inside the car. Was going to look under there and see if I can apply some silicon grease. Does sound like the same problem?

No, it can be heard very well from the outside of the car as well as inside.

My C2 creaked as well, but not as loud as it sounds like yours is. Took it to the dealer and they said nothing was wrong and they lubed it. Creaking sound was still there, but it was never loud enough to bother me. Had the car 4yrs as daily driver without any problems.

Bought a 996TT several months ago, and it creaks too. Also not that loud though, about the same as my C2 if not less. The car was CPO'd and the dealer didn't think it was a problem either. I definitely can't hear the noise outside the car.
