Last week I got a call from a Producer/Director asking me if I would participate in a Porsche Commercial as a satisfied customer of Porsche of Melbourne (FL) and I said,, Heck yes.

So, today the guy called and told me what to wear and what time to be at the Dealership on thursday.

They ask you a bunch of questions and then roll the camera with your answers. They edit the recording and insert what they want into the commercial. Have to wear a solid color shirt and they dont film below the waist. I can bring the wife too.

I get dinner for 2 at the local Chart House for my participation.

The commercial will run on local NBC, ABC and CBS channels when completed.

Has anyone every done a Porsche Dealer commercial??

I ll let you all know how it went after filming on thursday.

I am kind of excited about this and its a first for me making a commercial.

I asked Doug (Producer) if I could bring the TT in the showroom and get it in the commercial,, he will think about it.. lol

I can always use my video camera and get it off the television.

Last week I was in Stuart visiting some long time guy friends and when they saw the Red Turbo,, they started calling me Magnum PI.

Kind of a coincidence... Now I am on my way to Hollywood (blvd) on my way to Nasa Blvd to the P Dealer...

I was referring to the fact they don't film below the waist...

 

Doug made a point of telling me they film the head and shoulders and down to the waist.. I dont know why he said that.

Maybe because its all close ups and there are no full body shots for some reason???

Nah,, I really dont know but I will ask him on Thurs.

I am still working on learning the buttons. When and if I master it, I am applying for my Engineering Degree.. To me this is brain surgery.. Like learning Excel or Word.
