Power package? for 2008

My dealer told me that there will be no power package (x50) for the 2008 model year. The only difference is the aero package for 2008. Is this true?

Are the transmissions the same for 996tt and 997tt for the 6sp?

Shouldn't matter. X50 is a rip-off. You're a million times better off paying less and getting superior aftermarket mods (AWE, EVO,Protomotive) to give you extra juice. IMO anyways.
