Picked my turbo out of large numbers of semis and suvs in left lane going ahead of me. Officer even omitted they are picking out sportcars because easy to see from the air. Officer asked why I was doing 81 in 70 mile zone on interstate 75 just north of Tampa, Fl..... said just keeping up with the semis in left lane. The speed-trap was out there for revenue, they could care less about slowing traffic down in the left lane. A trooper's car picked me up some 15 miles down the road, had 10-troopers working the area. No semis pulled over, just cars. Quite a little cash generator going on.

 

you're right how dare they pull you over for breaking the speed limit!

 

Yeah you were speeding(breaking the law) but if they decides on pulling somebody over maybe the semi would have been a better pick.. I mean porsche or any true sport car is much safer at 81mph then a heavy semi......... that's our tax dollars hard at work....

 

I am really surprised they would pull you over at 11 miles over. I used to drive back and forth from ATL to TAMPA and had cops cruising along with me at 80 in a 65. I was in a sporty car more often than not.

I’ve gotten “pulled over” by a Cessna too for about 10 over. They got me going down the mountain pass and waited at a convenient overpass/ onramp and three doughnut dicks pulled out. I tried to hide along a semi but I’m sure the air patrol tipped them off. I pay taxes, wtf is their problem? Its so annoying, and I share in the frustration! The best part is no radar detector/ rammers will work. I’m thinking about investing in a mobile SAM site. I didn’t fight the ticket either because it was for just over $100, so they won that round. I also got caught going 5 over in a 70 and a crown vic off roaded across the median on I-90 just to chase me down and ticket me. It wasn’t one of those u-turn spots either, it was like a ditch with weeds up to the windshield, all for 5 over. Next time ill have a lawyer or car faster then a plane.


Guess we have German cars but non-German highways. Why can’t we just get rid of all the bad drivers and bad laws to match? Speed doesn’t kill, stupid, intoxicated, or people with no business driving in general do the damage. Now I have to watch fat guys in crashed geo metros, eating burgers with half of it falling on their **** fly by me while I go the limit stewing, pissed off, always watching for flashing lights. Give me a break. He was going with the flow of traffic, and for 11 mph over? That's BS. If they ticketed everyone going over the speed limit, they would have to pull over 99.9% of vehicles on the 400 series highways here in Ontario.

Being a cop is the same as being on welfare. They just need some revenue to buy more donuts, etc... Maybe some of these cops will get a real job when and if they grow up.

i know some of you guys have enough money and the connections to hook up some surface to air missiles on your cars........if u have enough money for that then you have enough to afford the lawyer for blowing up the plane

 

Man 5 miles and 11 miles over? That blows. I have many traffic cops/sheriff friends in GA and most of them will tell you outright - they are not allowed to pull over anything 10 miles below and on the highway the flow of traffic is generally the rule. I have had my detector go off at 85 miles an hour in a 55 with the flow of traffic on 285E and GA400 in a speed trap and they left me alone. They are looking for the idiot with bad lane changing etiquette, talking on the cell phone and speeding beyond the flow.

Where is KITT(Knight Rider) when you need him - he can detect everything with his high tech 80's technology. And then have a semi that so happens to always be on the move in the right area when you just need it...

 

Just an fyi.... if you were pulled over in Virginia for doing 81 mph you would have gone to Jail and would've had a nice Felony charge for your lawyer to fight. So don't feel tooo bad.

 

That does suck but it not the cops fault. **** rolls down hill not up, they are just doing what they are told to do.

No, I think cops just suck in general. The last ticket I got I finally wised up and fought it. The fellow 6speder that was in the passenger seat said some incriminating things but the stupid *** cope wrote down that it was me who had said it on his report. His final question before he just knocked some off, because he didn’t believe me, was how long have you been driving? And how many tickets do you have? In that sort of shocked voice. I didn’t say what I wanted to (its this god damned states fault I have all these bs 5-10 over tickets).
