Any CEL with Milltek 100cell cats?

Title says it all.....Just wondering how Milltek gets away with using 100 cell cats when every other manufacturer must use 200 cell units. One of the biggest reasons I am not condsidering Milltek is my lack of confidence that the system will actualy live the life of the car without CEL coming on.

Any experiences/info on this?

Would I be out of line to suggest getting an ECU mod done? With the Protomotive ECU and Miltek exhaust I've got no CEL problems, *and* a boatload more power

We've done a lot of MillTek's and never had a problem. They are expensive and and yes one of the only exhausts with 100 cell cats but that's because the ponied up for the HJS100 cell units As treynor will tell you (and he's been through a few exhausts ) it's also one of the best ones I can think of for a daily d in terms of interior noise (or lack of).

Very true - the Miltek was the quietest of the systems we tried, *and* made the most power of any of the units with cats. I'm really happy with it, thanks for the suggestion!

Which exhausts have you tried and what made you change from the rest to the milltek?

It's a certain brand of catalysts and right now everyone agrees they make the best (and most expensive) 100 cell cats. Basically it's like the prada of cats

Prototech - loudest, lightest, no cats, most power / least lag. Too loud inside the car for long trips. Sounds like a race car outside.

Fabspeed - considerably quieter but still loud for long trips (my car has headers too, which make it noisier), best exhaust note, lower power and more lag than Miltek.

Miltek - quietest by a good measure, almost as much power as the Prototech and very low lag, most expensive.

I ended up sticking with the Miltek because it's very quiet, makes great power, and has cats so the exhaust doesn't attact unwanted attention.

hi turborx... weight savings are not the strong point on this one. Maybe 10 pounds at most.

Sharkster and co. thanks for the info. I will put milltek back on my short list of exhausts. I think it's between AWE and milltek for now. FS has a better price though. Decisions decisions. I am also waiting for a decent sound clip of the GMG. Although I have a feeling it's going to be too loud.
