Question for those who have done the GIAC on 997TT

I am wondering if perhaps there is something wrong with the flash. Despite numerous cycles, I still have the red exclamation and cel lights.

In addition, the boost is very inconsistent. Sometimes it hits hard, sometimes refuses to go above .5 and sometimes lingers at .5, hits up to 1.1 or so, then dies. Sometimes I have longer lag than stock. This can't be normal - can it? Will the car adapt to it or is something amiss?

sounds like an issue to me.

Just wondering, has this occurred over multiple tanks of fuel?

I am on my third GIAC car and have yet to have a problem. Maybe just need a reflash.

Also, I'm sure Protomotive has never ever ever had any tuning issues.

Jamie did you do this through Phaff Tuning? if so i'll give you two words THEY SUCK
I'd email EVO and find out whats wrong with it and let Phaff tune it all over again. Same kind of thing happened to Ray's car when it was first chipped by those idiots

I got a second cloned chip from Stephen at Imagine Auto. If you'd like, we'll do your car for you, no charge.

Here's an update, we removed the new chip and re-installed the old, which got rid of the lights. Then re-installed the new chip and it appears to be working fine. It's possible that one of the plugs was not perfectly seated.

Hi Jamie,

Despite us being idiots and I don't believe you got your GIAC through us, I would still be happy to help you figure out whats going on. We have done numerous 997TT's without issues. Did you have the codes cleared when you got the DME back? Thats a must.

Give me a call hopefully we can help out. 905-907-1001

I appologize for whatever negative experience you may have had with either us or Pfaff Porsche in the past but hopefully I can make it up to you.

Jon

Thanks for the kind offer. I'm pretty sure the problem was caused by the idiot installing the dme!
