CheapArt splitter install

Here is the gist of the install:

1)remove your front lip - there is only 1 screw on each end of the lip just in front of the wheel on the bottom surface. Remove those 2 and then just pull the lip off - there are multiple press tabs that will release with some moderate tugging

2)match up the splitter to the lip and see how far you want it to stick out or rest flush

3)mark to drill 3 additional holes in the lip itself where a screw can go to attach the splitter to the lip. Re-use the rearward screw hole that exists in the lip itself. There will be thus 3+1 attachment points

4)use a 1/8" drill be to drill the lip itself. Do not drill the splitter at this time

5)mark the intended drill holes for the splitter using a marker. Then drill using the ink marks as a guide. Use a 1/4" drill bit for the splitter holes - this will allow some adjustability in the splitter placement

6)re-attach the lip to the car by pressing the tabs back into place. Do not put the original 2 screws back on - you will not use these again

7)use the 1" screws to attach the splitter to the original screw hole in the lip first (this is the hole nearest the tire)

8)now use the 3/4" screws to attach the splitter to the lip. Use the speed nuts as a backing plate/fixation

9)notice the speed nut should be placed so the bow is upward. When you tighten the screw the speed nut will become flat and the tension of the bow will keep it locked in place

10)you are done!

Received mine today. Now, if I only had the accessory that goes with them - the car. It's going to be a long time until February.
