Thanks Eric, I am sure it works, I guess I am just used to seeing billet pieces and finely machined aftermarket widgets. I didn't really care so much about the exterior, but the interior of the piece had some rough edges.

Let us know your results though. Having checked it out it should definetly improve the airflow.

Had a nice lunch break today...

I was invited on late notice to check out the runs. Of course I left my camera at home so I only got a few cloudy cell phone pics. The owner of the Turbo was a real nice guy and I want to thank him again for letting me hang around as well as putting his car through the dyno runs.

Here is a picture of the differences between the stock plenum and the upgraded IPD Plenum. This is the 996TT plenum but very similar in design to the new 997TT plenum. I don't have any in stock to take a picture of so this is just for comparison.

Nice power jump, how much are they ?

Also I reade somewhere that you can use Nitrous to cool the air before it goes does a system like that exist, and if so would it even further improve the power ?

nitrous is used sprayed on the intercoolers to better cool intake air colder air, maens more air density, more air density means more air, so more power...

Jean-Marie

Yes I know about that system, but I read somewhere (and can't find it anymore) that there is another "system" that cools the air as well but its not by spraying the intercoolers.
That seems to be even more effective, and uses less Nitrous

The amount of cooling by fogging the intake charge far exceeds the cooling by spraying the exterior surface of the intercoolers. Methanol/water in a 50:50 mix is a very effective combo and cools thru the process of the latent heat of evaporation. The charge will end up quite rich though and will need to be leaned out

Eclou

Thanks for the explanation, that is exactly what I read.
Do you know a setup like that exist for the 997TT ?

Thanks again
Mike
