Not sure how you'd be able to install resistors down there. The wiring is VERY tight in that area.

I never got that issue resolved because truthfully I stopped talking to Hoen after they refused to help me with the melted turn signal pod issue. I love the way the LEDs look but hate the warning signal/message. My guess is that the M6 doesn't have those lights wired to detect voltage changes but the 997TT does.

I gave up on that issue altogether.

I went back to the stock bulbs and plan to STICK with them. The LEDs give me the warnings and the Hoen bulbs did this:


I would imagine that the PIAA bulbs will do the same thing too because they probably burn hotter than stock. I strongly encourage you to go back to your stock bulbs because they burn at 85 degrees whereas the Hoen bulbs burn at 105 degrees. You should find out what temperatures the PIAA bulbs burn at because these plastic pieces are vulnerable to excess heat. These turn signal pods are $400 each and you have to remove the bumper to swap them! Stick with the stock bulbs, buddy.

BTw, that picture above isn't mine. It's actually gradyex's car. He put the LEDs in temporarily after the Hoen bulbs melted his. I checked mine and signs of the same thing was already starting to happen to mine. I took those Hoen bulbs out asap and put the stock bulbs in.

 

The 5w blue bulbs while the same power they run hotter and are for headlamps only, not smaller housings or licenseplates etc. The blue filter traps heat like no other and melts stuff.

Check out a W3W, Ive been searching for a while and cant come up with one but if its out there that would work, would be similar heat to stockers.

 

Remember seeing the car at bimmerfest last year. Looked amazing...even when it was filthy lol
