Some words about tuners
Great post guys...so here's the question from a novice on tuning. With such varying points of view on this subject, I would be interested in your opinions on how to tune my car to:
1) signifcantly reduce lag
2) increase power/speed = thrill factor
3) maintain daily drivability
4) maintain my warranty
5) get the best bang for my buck

SG,
1st feel out your local service dept to see how they stand on mods. If they are ok, then I would do an exhaust of your choice - reduces lag and adds power, no drivability loss. Next is the GIAC flashloader - allows you to switch between stock, performance, and race modes without any loss of drivability and power/response is greatly improved. These two run about $8k. I know it is hard to believe, but that $8k makes your $130k car perform more like a $300k car. You will be amazed
Something is in the works for early next year. After the Daytona 24 hour race. Based on 997 GT3 though. Similar to Euro Tuner shoot out at Hockenheim.
