maintaining that new car smell

Anyone have any tips on how to prolong the "new car" smell? I know some people hate that new car/leather smell, but I love it! Every time I get into my turbo I get excited! I wish it would never go away

Don't eat, drink, smoke, or anything else in the car. Also, don't use any products that have their own synthetic scent. I've only used zymol Treat to condition the interior of my clients' cars. I've had clients have the new car scent for close to a year. One owner with a 2005 GT2 still smells new. Granted it only has about 2K miles on it. You get the idea.

They sell it... You can buy it at any auto parts store, or even Walmart's car care section. Check out all the auto air fresheners. There is one, called....well... "New Car Scent" Give it a shot... smells similar..

Don't ever leave anything inside the car ie: shoes, socks, gloves, girlfriends panties.

Don't bother wth these "new car smell" sprays, lotions, etc. I'd stick with just using the OEM leather conditioner from Porsche. That from what I've found works the best and this is after testing many different typees of leather conditioners available.

The absolute best thing you can do to help keep your car smelling new is to use Zaino Leather in a Bottle. Stuff is amazing. My car is 2 years old and still smells new.

Don't let the dealer "prep" the interior prior to delivery. They slathered some greasy, chemical smelling crap all over my interior. It's just now going away after 2 months and a lot of cleaning and Lexol.

The "new car scent" is actually the smell of the new leather, carpet, and vinyl. It does not come in a bottle or spray. Most sprays are fragrances and will actually impart a more chemical scent instead of the subtle new leather scent.

+1 on the no food, drinks, smokes, or anything else that have their own synthetic scent. Basically keep your car's interior clean...I've had my DD for 2+ years and my occasional passengers can't believe the car still has that original scent.

Zainos leather conditioner does smell good but it seems to dry up the leather relatively quickly from what I've experienced.

I've used the zaino leather products for years and have never had any drying problems and they seem to keep the new car smell better than anything else I have used. Just my $.02.

Give the Porsche leather conditioner a try.
