DSG kicks butt guys. still prefer a manual but if the tiptronic is already faster than the manual in Porsches imagine the DSG

Mike2727 is infamous around these parts
If the electronics will let you hold a gear, no matter what, DSG/PDk is the best of both worlds

I like it in the MkV GTI, but it would be nicer if it would let you hold your gear

NEWS FLASH

Meet with a noted individual who gets to drive the wheels off PCars before we see them, an american, not german guy....

PDK will come out on non turbo first. Also he said it is amazing. He also said bluetooth and touch screen navigation are coming soon too.

Could not pin him down on actual dates, but the tone of the conversation is PDK turbo is more than 1 year away.

I too was hoping for it sooner. He said it was definitely worth waiting for.

If it's like the DSG (S-tronic) in my Audi A3, and I assume it will be, you can hold it in gear. It's an extremely versatile transmission. It is light years ahead of the SMG II transmission I enjoyed in my Dinan S3R M3. The 6 speed manual in the turbo, while nice, becomes a real PITA in heavy rush hour traffic. (Can you sing Row Row Row Your Boat?)
