OEM round replaces round and OEM triangle replaces triangle - round won't fit in triangle and vice versa.

 

well, not exactly a round airbag fits a round steering wheel. An OEM sport steering wheel will need a different round airbag.

I have a non-sport round steering wheel. So will this non-OEM sport steering wheel need to have a different airbag than what I have? An air bag would cost $200-300.

 

You have an 08 correct? There are only two OEM airbags - round and triangle. OEM airbags are more than your $200-300 range. Check the Suncoast website and you'll see the two airbags and the new prices.

997/987 first generation steering wheel has 2 types (triangle airbag: standard type and round airbag: some called "sport" type)
These 2 types of steering wheels come in colors of BLACK/STONE GRAY/SAND BEIGE/NATURAL BROWN/TERRACOTTA ...
997.1 steering wheels are generic, you can change the control modules in 3 and 9 oclock spokes and make them into tiptronics/multi-functional control
We can make steering wheel conversion on sand beige 997 wheels no matter is standard or sport types
