Supercharger Owners... RUF???
I think it is very smooth - when the TT goes to boost it's an obvious transition but not "clunky" if that helps describe it. With the supercharged C4S, it was just there - a very linear increase in power.
I don't know if there are other shops, but on EVO's website they list this shop as a prefered dealer:

I have no doubt that RUF has the best package but when you pay that much you might as well get the TT. Obviously you already have the car so the equation is different. Also, your not local for the installation.... If it were me (and I am thinking about it), I would go with EVO for a SC.
I love my 997 S! Its light (relatively compared to the turbo), 2wd and tossable! I don't believe in spending so much for a GT2 (191k!!!) and I definitely want the power increase!
I can see why the owner with the supercharged C4S moved up to a turbo (its 4wd too), but I want to keep my car's handling dynamics. The warranty makes it sweeter!
I have a small issue with the Carrera's m97 wet/integrated dry sump engine block, but since its so easy to replace after warranty and the 997 chassis is so good, I'm more than willing to overlook it in exchange for increased horsepower and 2wd.

My only concern, and a couple members on this board voiced the same (that I know locally) would be getting it smogged later on. I don't think RUF and/or Evo have that emission plate thing I see on Dinans that allows them to pass smog with the modification on.
Unfortunately, there are several inspections. One is the actual SMOG - which the car may or may not pass with the supercharger.
The other would be visual. I believe Dinan has special plates fastened on to their products so they can pass the visual inspection. I think it's some EPA thing.
Most superchargers won't pass the visual, and they're kinda hard to hide from sight

The only thing I would take slightly used is an '07 TT.
Does it really matter if it's a 6TT or a 7TT? But as long as you mention it, I'm confident an SC could handle a stock 7TT.
