997 Targa roof - what do you think about that ??

Hi guys

check out the first pics of the prototype of a classic targa roof for the 997 convertible !!

The guys from germany are just showing that roof at the seema !!

I think it really looks great and i hope that it may fits to a 996 as well.

Greetings from Hamburg-city

Zeljko

Im not a fan!! and your adding even more weight to a car that is already heavy from the ragtop.

Cant say I like any of the cab tops with any kind of hard top installed, screws up the line I think, makes it look funny

It's a cool idea and it definitely looks very similar to the original targa tops but I agree that adding all that weight to an already hefty car (thanks to the added weight of the convertible top) isn't the best idea. Besides, I think the current 997 Targa looks awesome!

dont get me wrong, I dig the retro look, but just not a fan of the the 996 or 997 targa tops especially the targa unit from the factory, even on the 997 targa. With the targa top open you can hardly see out of the rear window- maybe it just me

I saw this in person at SEMA. Looks better in pictures than up close. The fit over the rear lid kinda sticks out a bit. And the black finish was kinda raw looking. But it is still in development, and the gentlemen were very open to my comments. I believe the US distributor said he is out of Paso Robles, CA. and production may start next Spring/Summer
