NAV-TV Sirius issue

I had the Sirius NAV-TV installed about a month ago and for the most part, have been really happy with it... It integrated pretty seamlessly and the sound quality is excellent.

The only problem I've been experiencing with it is - every few days I will get a message on startup, "Updating Channel List". When this message comes up, I'm not able to make any selections in the 'Sirius Menu' (change channels, etc.) but it will still play the last channel that was selected on the last shutdown. This message will stay on for as long as I'm driving, no matter how long, and the only way to get rid of it is to turn the car off for a few hours. So far, that's been the only solution to this problem. Calls to NAV-TV's tech support have yielded nothing as they haven't returned any of the messages I've left (can't get a live person on the phone!)...

Has anyone experienced this problem? or better yet, found a solution to this issue? Is there a reset action that can be performed?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Well were in the chain is the unit? who did the install? The fiber is shipped in the input plug of the tyco connector, it needs to be on the output side going to the amp input, and the amp input going to the sirius unit. Sounds like it is backwards. Also call serious and tell them to do a fresh signal for ya

The install was done properly (thankfully)...The latest issue I've been having with it is the disappearance of Sirius from the PCM when I'm cycling through the radio to choose it (ie: FM to AM to Sirius). This only started happening recently since the temperature has been floating around the freezing mark - not sure if there is a direct correlation.
So far, the only thing that works is to get the car warmed up, shut it off for a minute and start it up again.

Has anyone else experienced any of these issues? or better yet, found a fix? I can't even get anyone on the phone at NAV-TV to discuss this with and messages left on their voicemails have gone unanswered...

I've experienced similar issues with my Nav-TV Sirius unit, which was installed in late August 07 and has an August 07 firmware date. Nav-TV has advised me that they have updated the firmware and are going to exchange my unit for one with the new firmware. You might try going to Nav-TV's new support forum (which has a link on their main web page www.nav-tv.com ) and posting there and also sending the Nav-TV forum administrator (who is the Nav-TV CEO) a PM about your problem.
