Thanks 500 for the info!

If I understand, after the car has been shut off and the lid still closed and the temperature rises in the compartment from sitting, even after a few minutes a thermostat can turn the fan on to pull the excessive heat out.
You're welcome

Yup you got it...this will more likely occur in the summer time after a very spirited drive then parked in the garage with the door closed...shortly after you'll hear the engine comp fan come on.

Hi cvazquez,

Years ago I had a similar setup. I had a timer switch (similar to what you see used on a hot tub at a Hotel) and a small fan mounted on the wall pointed at the motor to dissipate heat. I would drive into the garage, turn the switch to 15 minutes and walk into the house.

Happy Holidays Everyone!

Yea it gets really hot in there. I've learned to be careful of what I store in the trunk on long drives/road trips. On the other hand, it makes for a great hot box for leftover food.....

"What happens in the Garage stays in the Garage"

Best to keep the Wife out of the Garage, They just don't undrestand and it is to hard to explain.
