Red/Tan Cabrio, need your opinion

Hey guys, first post and I need your feedback. I purchased a Red/Tan Ferrari 355 spider in 2004 and loved the color on that car. Besides all F Cars need to be red, right ?

Her is the situation: I am looking at a red/tan 2007 997S Cab as a more daily driver. It has full leather, Sport Chrono, Turbo Wheels, navi, and PSE. Car has 7K on it.

Two questions:

1) Car is priced at $88,500 and is CPO. Is that a fair deal?

2) Will the red/tan hurt on resale ? I do want red but wanted a black interior. My intention is to keep the car 3 -4 years. In lookin at all of the ads I see very few red 997s, mostly black, silver, white, etc.

Thanks for the help.

Tan will not affect resale. Condition of car affects resale.

I'm a red/tan lover as well, and both my past two were this color combo. Would definitely do it again.

Yeah, a buddy of mine told me to park the F-Car in front of the boat to make it look like it was towing it. It would look funny. Is really funny cause the 355 only has 375 HP and the dodge turbo disel is floored 99.9% of the time when towing.

Well, at the end of last year I remember a sales person for Porsche telling me that red/tan was the hardest car to sell and a they sell their used ones for a discounted price to get rid of them. I have a 68 280sl red/tan and looks great...much better than red/black. The ferrari also looks great red/tan.. But when I bought my Targa I bought in red/black. Some red cars look better with tan others with black...IMHO.

That is such BS (what salesman said)...he must have had a red/black one on the lot.
Get what YOU like, and either black or tan works perfectly with Guards:

One caveat: in the pics above, the black interior turbo cab has been lowered and spacers added, so it will always appear more menacing.

I loved it

Well, I loved the red exterior.

However, I decided on black on black instead after getting input from friends, girlfriends.

The most common comment I had was that, 'it was a girlie colour on a Porsche'.

It never ceases to amuse me how people fret over color and resale. Worried about depreciation? Buy a Civic and when you are through with it cancel the insurance and drive it off a bridge. It will still cost you less than the highest resale Porsche you can find. Get what you like. Period.

Red w/ black interior gives it a much more sporty look, while the tan interior gives the car a classy look.. so it's up 2 u
