GT3 Wing on a C2S

Is it possible to put a GT3 wing on a C2S? Do i have to order a rear deck lid? I have access to a GT3 wing but i found out that the fan internals won't work on it.

Thanks

I believe the decklid and wing are one piece for GT3 Wing.

The GT3 wing uses a smaller fan that the standard 997 series. You will need to seperately purchase a factory GT3 fan to complete the installation.

Our 997 V-GT decklid and wing offers the same underside of the standard 997 series underside so that you may reuse the original 997 engine fan.

As an old Porsche guy (3.2L Carrera), I remember that Porsche wings are always designed for real purpose. When folks added wing on their old Carrera, they were advised to add the front spoiler as well. That way it wouldn't jeopardize the balance of the car's areodynamic/lift/etc.

I guess the same concern might apply to the GT3 wing on the 997 as well... Can any expert chip in?

With best regards,

That is correct even the factory does not sell the bumper by itself without the wing and decklid as part of an aero package.

This will be much more noticeable at the track.

the GT3 wing/deck lid bolts on with 4 6mm bolts. you have to order a GT3 fan and wiring harness. Once installed you have to go to the AD to turn off the the stock auto wing lift.

I am putting on the V-GT decklid, and was not planning on putting back the OEM fan in.
Is it ok to be without the fan?
