Brief History:
My first sports car, the E46 M3, was one of the best cars I've ever driven. When it came time to replace it, the only car in my mind that could replace it, was the 996GT3. Finances and lack of sellers resulted in a bone stock 2001 996Turbo, with low(15k miles). After owning the 2001 6speed Turbo for about 6 months, the car was sold to a fellow forum member, and I picked up a 2006 M5. 2 months with the M5, it was as much of a beast as I dreamed it would be, but just too early in my life to drive, without a family to haul around. Weeks of negotiation with a fellow member to trade cars, I ended up buying the car from him straight up. The car was exactly as described, and i got it for a great deal.
I just want to thank Byron aka 'byronmaui' again, for a great deal and for being an absolutely class act through the entire bumpy transaction, all of which was caused on my end I must admit = ) Without further delays...

Pictures were taken by my house mate Steven, aka 'sddynamix' who frequents the photography forum on 6speed using a 30D. Here is a link to another photoshoot that he did with his M3 and a Z4 3.0si:

Good to hear from you bud! We never hooked up after the Vegas rally. I must say my wife and I had a blast on that vacation. It's not very often you hit it off so well with a bunch of total strangers. I consider you guys friends of course.
The car is looking sweet! The 997 Carrera is such a leap from the no curves 996 Carrera. I still think someday I'd like a 993 cab, they're so classic P car!
At the very least, we should hook up with Sam and the other fellas for sushi and drinks or something!
YOu still owe me a DVD or at least the raw footage from the rally beeatch!
Still looking for contact info for teutonictrio. You don't happen to have his e-mail do you? If you can dig that up, I'd appreciate a PM.

ari: i'm compressing 50gb of raw video for you right now
lig: thanks, hope you're enjoying the steering wheel!
THinthedesert: nope, it's bone stock
after seeing these pictures myself, i must say porsche did a damn good job putting this thing together as a whole. i'm sure many of you would agree that a gt3 front bumper, drop on coils and a set of kinesis f110 would give the car a far more aggressive stance. however, if you're buying a 997S for a 997S, this is as good as it gets imho. the only thing i'd put on would be the PSE for added noise. Lucky for me, Byron already had the Gemballa Powerkit(headers, race cats, & muffler) on the car when i took delivery. i may look into software to tie all the hardware together.
next mod: the driver. eventually a GT3

It really changes the whole interior in a way.
