Invoice price on a 2008 997S

It seems like the ability to negotiate off of MSRP varies widely based upon the time of the year and where the dealer is located.

But I've done a search here, looked on Edmunds.com and other places and I can't find what the actual invoice price to a dealer is of a 2008 997S.

Does anyone really know the answer?

try Chris Huck at Pioneer Center Porsche, I bought 2 Pcar from him. You should at least get $5k off 997S, if timing is right, you can get as much as $10K.

the answer to your question, is that it is going to vary quite a bit on how the car is a equipped. decide on what you want options wise, or pick out a car, and we can all help you figure out what a fair price to pay for a particular car would be.

Hi Dustin.

I understand that with the myriad of options that Porsche offers, there's going to be a wide difference in pricing.

However, what I'd like to get a ballpark idea of is what is the invoice price of a bare bones, no options 997s. My thought is that if there's say a $10,000 spread between the invoice and MSRP of a bare bones 997 than that spread must continue no matter what options you put on the car.

Any help you've got would be appreciated.

If you catch them at the end of the month, usually they can do a better deal. I was able to get almost 10k off for a 2008 997S.

I have heard that there is a 10 to 15% profit margin depending on the options.

on an 08 997s well optioned ie: 100k dealer is making around 12k, if its around mid 90s then dealer is making around 8k, anything optioned over 100k dealer is making anywhere better than 12k and then the bargaining begins!, good luck -
PS i got 7k plus extra gifts off mine and it was December, poor sales during winter had to have helped

Thank you!

I stupidly assumed that if Edmunds.com didn't have invoice pricing, none of the major internet sites would either.
