Breaking in new Carrera 2

Hi all,i am to collect my new C2 in 2 days.I am very excited as this is my first 911.I used to drive a CTTS for abt 15 months.I would like to know how long does a C2 need to be run in b4 flooring the throttle?
I am also very attracted to the Rinspeed body kit, does it also cater for NB as what i saw was a WB C4S,many tks and have a great weekend!!

You should probably take it easy for the first 500 miles or so, varying your speed and avoiding cruise control. Get used to the car and let the tires and brakes get used to you. Although I've broken in every single car of mine by the book, I'll be the first to admit that it was extremely hard in the 997. I really think that after 500 miles you've done your duty. You're going to have others tell you to follow the manual, whereas others will tell you to drive it like you stole it the minute you leave the dealership.

The absolute best advice that I can give you is to drop it by my place -- which isn't really all that close to Singapore -- and let me break it in for you. With that, I'll probably need about 10,000 miles to do it correctly.

Best of luck!
