When is the 997 replacement coming out?
When is the 997 replacement coming out?
I'm sure this is a multiple repost but I haven't been around in a while and couldn't find it by searching...
I was just wondering what the predictions are on when the 997 replacement is suppose to be coming out...
Thanks!

They are currently taking orders in Europe and promising all sorts of changes: touch screen nav, bumper facelifts, LED tail lights, New headlight cluster, more horsepower, decreased weight, and a new "integrated dry sump" (aka wet-sump) engine block with a lower displacement, yet more powerful and more fuel efficient due to DFI.
So if it has all the stuff on it that spyder mentioned it should be a really nice car! Are they making a GT3 version of it?
How will this effect the price of 997's? More specifically, my MY05 997S... Has my car already taken most of it's depreciation or will the new car make it worse?
Not sure exactly what you are asking...the facelifted 997 will be out as an 09, but an actual replacement for the 997 (998?) should be for the 2012 MY if the history of the 996 is any guide.
So if that's the case, are they going to not make another GT3 until the 998 comes out or will there be a facelifted GT3?
I'm asking both questions I guess... and that answers it. So the 997 facelift is coming out as a MY09 and the 998 (or whatever it's going to be called) will be out, you are predicting in 2012....

My guess is that the facelift will apply to the GT3 as well.

One of the European Porsche forums estimates that it will be available in August/September 08, making it a MY09.
