Alarm system

Would appreciate a recommendation for the best after-market alarm system. I have heard that there are touch-sensitive alarm systems that will even send you an SMS once the car is being touched

all those gimmick alarms is waste of money i think. It'll jsut cause the people to touch it more or key your car. Oem alarm works fine for me.

I had a e36 m3 in 97 that I modded and put a $10,000 stereo/alarm. Not only was my car burglarized but the a-holes used the alarm to open the locks. I don't consider alarms after that experience. I sold the car right after that I wished that they stole it because
I no longer wanted it.

APR offers software for Audi / VW that has a theft deterrent (as part of their performance tuning software. It basically disables the car from being started without the user entering some type of code. I think they now offer this for Porsche. With audi it works through the cruise control stalk. Pretty slick. If someone wants your car they will get. Flat bed and its gone. That's why you have it insured.

This is the most effective anti-theft device I've seen so far - it's mainly used in S. Africa due to their very high rate of auto theft/carjacking.

looked at APR's site. the anti-theft system is listed under the audi section only. I wonder if they have it ready for porsche as well

the "BLASTER" would be fun to have in traffic, at the drive thru, squeegee guys, I'm sure there are tons of possibilities for that thing.
