Its a double-clutch manumatic gearbox. (That means one clutch handles the odd gears while a separate clutch toggles the evens.) My AD said there will not be any paddle shifters. Just the normal shifter location.
Interesting. Does that mean faster shifting, smoother, less friction on the clutch(s)? Paddles would be cool in a Porsche; everybody else is doing it.
I like the improvements. Although on the finance side of the house Porsche should re adjust their prices to the current inflation and most importantly the new competitors on the market offering so much more for so much less.
@msindi - There will be a 09 Turbo.
The changes are expected to be as follows:
- center console + PCM upgraded
- "big ear" wing mirrors
- rear lights
- big price hike!
No changes to the engine or power output.

I agree, The LEDs look good. But the back end of the car almost doesn't look as agressive as the 997's did.
