Hi all,

I am considering a new aftermarket exhaust and I am looking at the EVO Sport, Cargraphics and FabSpeed Exhausts. I can't make up my mind based on good feedback from the board on all of them. Can I get you opinions on which would be best to worst regarding:

1) Good sound with no drone. Not too abnoxiuosly loud but good sport sound like the PSE.

2) Performance gains

3) Quality

I must say My Fabspeed fits all of your requirements !
No drone,just enough sound(not too loud),performance(no idea,bought the car with it).

At about 6000 RPM the Wife says "Now that sounds like money",LOL !

 

I too am looking to make a change to my exhaust system. Primarily would like to improve performance and secondarily improve the sound. Seems like there's quite a long list of after market exhausts to cull through and quite a lot of opinion on the subject.

I'd add the AWE Tuning to your list.

I'd also remove the Fabspeed. They market a silicon tube as a replacement part of your intake with ridiculous claimed performance gains. Completely lost any credibility in my mind and poisons their product list.

 

Don't remove Fabspeed because of their stupid silicone hose- they make a good exhaust, but be sure to call and order and let them know you want one made in the USA. I believe they were tinkering with lesser quality manufacturer in China- I got one of those, and it looked like crap, and offered zero sound improvement, so I took it off and sent it back with my complaints. They immediately sent me another one, which was as expected, and sounds amazing.

Don't expect any performance gains from a muffler alone. To get any performance out of an exhaust, you'll need the whole system: headers, mufflers, cats.

 

You are telling people to continue to buy the Fabspeed system, even though they make a crap cheap system that they sell for a premium? Sounds like they are tanking the brand!

How does AWE compare to EVO and Cargraphics as far as sound, drone and quality?

 

I know how that sounds. However, I still have faith in Fabspeed because I had one a my 996 which was great, and have one on my current 997 that's great. Strikes against them include their ripoff red hose, and the knock-off muffler they once sent me that I sent back.

They have made some poor choices, I'll agree there.

 

I have always thought of Fabspeed as a quality manufacturer, but having there stuff made in China, that is for one reason only. Hopefully Fabspeed smartens up.
