Burnham is infamous around these parts
Hello

Hello folks, I've been lurking for some time now - thought is was time to post.

I've attached a pic of my old 993S which I sold a couple of years ago, been in a Audi S4 (B6) up until a few weeks ago when I picked up my 997S. Its pretty vanilla compared to some of your pimped up rides (which I love!). I would like to do some mods (Lower Springs, 20" Wheels, Techart Sides and possibly proper GT3 front), but for now I'm enjoying the car as it is.

Cheers,

Ross

Welcome! I'd love to own a 993 someday. There is something about the air cooled 911's that just seems so proper.

You're going to save some money on fuel with the 997! (my daily is a B6 S4)

Too right about the fuel, the 4.2 V8 was pretty thirsty! At least you dont dont have to pay $2.30 per litre....

I get about 23 MPG from the 997S, positivley frugel...I like to think I'm doing my bit to save the whale since I sold the Audi.

lol... I used to look at SUV owners with a bit of contempt - but my sedan gets roughly the same mileage!

I too came from a B6 S4, loved it, but a big on gas, and useless back seats (for kids with baby seats). The 997 gets great mileage even when I am hard on it at the track.

I have to ask this question, why would you ever get rid of a 993 C2S. A collector in my opinion.

Enjoy the 997 and welcome to the forum.

+1

Nothing like a wide body 993. Amazing. I like the idea of having the pinnacle of air-cooled Porsches... One of these days
