The only person I have ever spoken to at Pioneer is Chris Huck. I was looking for a GT3 about a year ago and was referred to Chris by Fabryce. We spent about 30 minutes on the phone conversing about P-cars. He answered all my questions even though they didn't have a GT3 available. He is one of the few remaining salespersons that REALLY knows his/her product.

Hi Chris,

Funny. I am the one that comes in and you never give me the time of day. I've called you about a GT3 and never heard back from you. In fact, I haven't heard from you after the sale since. Not saying much since I spent $105k with you but maybe my expectations are too high.

Pioneer Mishaps

Hi Chris,
I have had similiar experiences as the other members. I am tennis buddies with one of the wealthiest men in the US that happens to live in RSF and has one of the best automobile collections in the world and he shares our sense of distrust and experience with the worst type of customer service. He is worth well over $2 Billion and he is treated this way at your dealership. Please PM me with your direct number so that I may ring you for my next purchase in case you ar ethe beacon of light at Pioneer.

Bought 2 P-cars from Chris

I live in La, and bought Cayenne and 911 from Chris, called him and have the prices all worked out before driving down there, 200miles return trip. He is knowlegable about what he is selling, and the manager Shawn is really nice too.

But I also spoke to him about other P-cars like the turbo or new Cayenne, and he and the dealer didn't want to deal below list at all.

Well, if I am not getting a good enough deal, there is no point of driving 200miles to pick up the car. Since then, I started working with my local salesperson on my next P-car purchase, and found that same deal can be made in LA dealers as well.

We recently took delivery of our 2008 C2S from Hoehn and so far (knock on wood) this has been the best car buying experience we've ever had. That includes some fantastic experiences with Lexus over the last 15 years.

We had respectful, reasonable negotiations on the price. Hoehn honored every word of their agreement and they really went the extra mile (including driving up to Irvine to facilitate executing agreements while my wife was up to her neck in tax season and picking us up at the train station in a brand new Cayenne S to give us the "red carpet" delivery treatment. That saved us a lot of headache, made the experience very unique and prevented us from driving one car down to Carlsbad to turn back around and drive two cars back up to Dana Point.

The after sales experience has also been very good with follow up phone calls, emails, and letters from my salesperson, the service manager and the general manager.

We are quite happy and while I don't see us buying another Porsche any time soon I highly recommend Hoehn and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

There are still some good car salesmen/women out there.

Is this meant as a joke? It sure sounds like one!

No joke! He was rebuffed at Pioneer when requeting a discount to purchase a 997S Cab along with a 997TT. Before you ask why a person with that kind of money negotiate, he has a value investment firm and that is second nature to him.

That's not what I meant with the 'joke'.

FWIW, I don't get what you mean either.

I am of two minds about this guy's friend. If I had $2 billion, I probably would not give a **** about saving $10K on a car purchase. On the other hand, I could see myself doing the same thing if I had that kind of money. I generally enjoy negotiating and could see myself doing the same thing just because I could.

my only experience was a couple of weeks ago. i showed up in a toyota sienna wearing a t-shirt, shorts and flops to look at the used grey gt3 they have on the floor. given my attire i was certain i wouldn't be given the time of day.

wrong. a salesperson made contact with me quickly when i was checking out the two gt3s (he must have seen me pull up in the toyota ). i believe he was new, just transfered over from service - believe his name was daniel?

he spent about a half an hour with me, was very professional, and he even took me for a ride in an x51 997s when i mentioned i wasn't sure about the idea of the gt3 having only two seats w/ two kids at home.

great experience, and will go back to him in a heartbeat if i decide to trade my 997s and buy the gt3. too bad more porsche salespeople can't be like him.

i should also add that my 997s was purchased new from hoehn in carlsbad, and they were fantastic.

Hi Stom and Sharm -

Sorry I don't know who you are through your screen names and sorry you've had poor experiences. I do try to make myself available at all times to talk and do try hard to follow up with customer requests. Some times cars just don't come in though that match a customers' requests for follow up. Deals will always be best I can offer at that particular time and based on that particular Porsche. Feel free to contact me with any Porsche needs and I'll do my best to fulfill your expectations. 619-339-3537c I look forward to taking excellent care of you!

sales i have mix feelings about after purchasing cars from them but I have had great experiences with Sean Puno in service department. highly recommended. I wouldn't recommend buying cars from there because I've had issues with them misrepresenting their cars.
