Does anyone make a shift **** for 997?

I just don't get it, besides ruf for near 400$ are there any other after market shift ***** to fit a 997? Just feel the cheap plastic stock shift **** is terrible.... any advice greatly appreciated,,, would like a Titanium one.

Agree! 997 would look "expensive" with a metal shift ****

for me RUF is the best and it feels way better than the factory ****. RINSPEED and TECHART make it too.

I've been eyeing the turbo **** @ Suncoast. Does this one have the same cap as the standard 997S ****?

heard it stinks as well

its light and plastic like with some extra aluminum but not any more substantial at least what I have heard.... believe this comes on many S models.....

My dad's C4s has a shift **** like the one pictured. The aluminum has a nice feel but on cold/hot days it is annoying. It could be a little heavier IMO, but its not that bad.

I ask here not to open a new thread.
Could anybody confirm me that the turbo shift **** will be a plug&play retrofit to my CarreraS MKI?
I fear that sooner or later my "dyeing" will not last long (or I have been told this by one guy on the Italian BMW forum) and I wanted to start thinking about it and making sure that, when it will be the moment, I will have clear ideas in mind.
Thanks in advance.

PS: Will "Plastic-looking-like-alu" color of the turbo **** be the same of the standard CarreraS?

Yes it will work.

The shift **** design are all shared from 05-11 boxter, cayman, and 911's.

Oh, and the alumalook should be the same on the turbo **** as it is elsewhere in the car.

On the GT3 **** like I have it is volcano grey which is the same color/texture as the radio, the climate control surround and the airbag surround.

this pic shows what I'm talking about. This in the same style **** but in my old Cayman.

What bugs me is the airbag surround is Volcano grey and the 3 "buttons" on the steering wheel are alumalook. And the don't match. You have to buy a GT3 steering wheel to get the volcano grey buttons.

Aftermarket.
In Porsche they will tell you that the turbo **** will not "officially" fit

BMW sure has more shift **** options.
Surprising how few options there are for a 997.
