Continuously filthy windshield??

Am I alone here? For the past 6 months I've noticed that the windshield on my 997S is continuously dirty. If doesn't matter if I've just washed, wiped, buffed, etc. the glass, as soon as I get 5-10 miles under my belt, the windshield gets dirty again. I'm not talking about highway debris or bug shells/guts. I'm talking about what looks more like little grease droplets (resembles sap...but I don't park or drive under trees). My first concern is that something is misting up on my windshield from underneath the wiper cowl, but I don't really see any fluid leaks there. And, if it were wiper fluid, it wouldn't make such a mess. Anyone else have this problem? If it weren't so frequent, I'd say it was from cars ahead of me. But, it happens every time I wash the car. Driving me nuts!

My windshield is always dirty. Heat and bugs equal mess. I've seen the grease droplets on occassion, but its so infrequent I usually attribute it to road debris.

One advantage to living in Vancouver is the frequent window cleaning we get here, either from the squeege kids or the rain.

I think it mostly depends on the area you are located....

We don't have the cleanest air here in The ATL. But, outside of the pollen season, I still have the nasty windshield problem. It looks like little grease droplets...is someone spraying tanning oil on my car?!

We don't have a dirty windshield here in Southern California as the air is filter clean ha ha ha. Seriously, I would check to see if you are leaking coolant from your radiator up front and blowing it to your windshield.

I live in ATL as well, and I don't have this problem. Have you applied any sort of hydrophobic solution like RainX or something to your windshield in the past. Not implying that RainX (or anything like it) causes this problem -- I was just wondering. My car is always garaged and rarely sees rain. I wash the car by hand and use only quality cleansers designed for use on cars. Could it possibly be something you're using to clean or maintain your car/windshield? Hope you figure this one out
