I like it. The front reminds me of the TT front. I like the rear too. Any pics of the inside yet?

Hello everyone.
New member, 1st posting. I am a bit conflicted about the 998. The dodgy styling seems amiss. The Cayman and the Carrera seems redundant, and uninspiring. The softer lines continues the trend Porsche has chosen in order to sell more cars. I fear the iconic Carrera might be in trouble.

Looking good - but then I love any Pcar!
The wheels and the front look good, I want to see the rear end in person though.
No regrets on my 08 - hell of a car. I am planning on buying a 2013 year model - they must come up with something special for the 50 year aniversary of the 911!

Has there been any talk or stats on the torque increase for the DFI engine??? If power went up by 30 then I'd imagine torque had to go up a bit too, right?
EDIT: Ok I found it, a 20 Nm increase...so does that equate to about 15 lb ft?

damn, i love it, so i guess the '06 997 S cab is for sale 
i will replace with a 997.5 S hardtop with PDK
i think the new car looks great, can't wait to get one. 385hp, slap some exhaust on it and you've got yourself a great little 400hp daily driver. that eggshell color with red interior combo is kinda different - not sure if it's different in a good way or not - have to think about that.
i'll have to pay a visit to my dealer in the next few days.

It looks fantastic . I am sure a few here are doing the speculative calculations on an equally equipped car as the trade in.
In days of past figure 10K a year plus another 10 added to the total for a car 3 yrs or less .
IE -- trading an 07 into an 09 = 10+10+10 =30K plus tax
That was the old days . To speculate I'll round up and say 15K added to the total .
New numbers
08 into 09 = 10 + 15
07 into 09 = 10 +10 +15
06 into 09 = 10+10+10+15

hehe you're going to get your typical extremist words like "hideous", "hate", "grotesque", "ugly".... glad i have the older model. why can't you just like both?
I for one would take LEDs over the tired incandescent lights EVERY day of the week. it modernizes the car so much.
good work porsche with the freshening up without making the outgoing model look obsolete... just a little more "classic".
you can keep playing in your non DFI, lower hp 997 sandbox bro and pretend you don't like the new models your other porsche fans will be picking up soon (maybe me)
