Question

Do all Florida Porsche dealers, now know/have their Sept-Dec '09 Carrera S allocation slots [Numbers]?

Well let me sincerely apolgize if anyone else took what I said in a negative way. I never called anyone here stupid. I did say that 2 people(I listed their names) made stupid comments. It was a little harsh but it was in response to what I felt as an attack.

The comment " look who its coming from" is offensive. Im a long time member/suporter. I dont flood this forum with 4 sale crap.

Im here first and foremost to enjoy the board like everyone else. I pride myslef in not being a "salesman".

It's cool though. I guess anything I hear that may be of use to members I will keep to myslef.

People here already think most dealers are a$$holes. You can decide for yourself whether your response helped or hurt. I vote for the latter. Gerry

Most dealers are Gerry I couldnt agree more. I should just keep my mouth shut for next time I guess. That's just my personality if someone wants to bash me I take it personal. On a public forum that never works out in your favor.

Im just going to shut my mouth then. If anyone has any questons or needs help with anything Im here for you. Feel free to PM or call. And for the numerous people Ive already helped off of this topic I appreciate the opportunity.

Thanks! : )

I am not defending anyone, but I have heard that there will not be as many cars coming to this market in 09 as there were during the same period in 08.

Unfortunately, we all know the general stereotype against a salesperson and calling someone stupid will not help out your cause. However it is big of you to apologize publicly.

LOL. Well, now you have most dealers pissed off at you. You have quite a way w words Andreas. Maybe message boards are not your thing. At any rate you'll sell all those great cars. Besides, look at all the free publicity you have gotten Gerry

Even though Americans pay in worthless funny money, they still move enough volume in the U.S. that they can't ignore the market. As for the idea that there will be a shortage, yeah, that's why they sold over 100,000 997's in the first four years of production, right? LOL.

Andreas is a great guy to deal with, in all honesty I've had issues with the dealership he works at but never had an issue with Andreas, he's gone out of his way to make sure I'm a happy customer or future customer. Other's that don't work at that dealership anymore had shunned me when we went in there looking to order a car a few years back.

Heck Andreas knows I'm a little bit of a watch fan and even hooked me up with a new SS Daytona 2 weeks back for nothing, and at MSRP mind you.

On this topic, all be it a 997 may not be as hard to get as a GT2/GT3 but there are many who cherish their 997's and want to order it to their specifics and meet a deadline of getting it. If that's the case this is a great opportunity to lock in an order and your spec's with a dealer who supports the community. I did the same thing with my new M3, I could go on Ebay and buy one now, but I wanted it a certain way so I ordered mine to specs around Oct-Nov time. So its good to know you can go to someone to get a car exactly the way you wanted it and when you want it.

Initially MkII's 997 will be sort of "in demand" as Porsche leaves in July or August for vacation leaving the prduction line dry...

In truth sales are on the lower side and will continue through out the summer... dealers have to deal with '08 left overs and even '07 (very few really) and account for new '09's...

...but by the end of the year 09's will be readily available as always...

...more interesting than getting in line for an '09 is seeing the '05-'08 market... that's where the good stuff is in my view in these months...

...obviously for some is utterly necessary to have the new PCM or the PDK then get in line, now or later...

...now as far as this thread being started by a dealer employee who's income is based on sales, with such statement should be taken with a grain of salt and a hauler to PCNA, because what kind of marketing is this? I ask?

Now as far as "get in line now" by the look of things now these guys are struggling more than the rest... and will even more (thinking of the Cayenne)... so once again take it with a grain of salt...

I still have my doubts who is the one that should get in line at this point...
