Facelift 997 Better get your order in now......

Just an FYI guys there will not be many cars available for the first few months. Anyone who wants one better get to their dealer and get their order in right away. First cars build date is in September!

We are taking orders, so anyone interested shoot me a PM. : )

You'll need a January build car. I would go leave a deposit now and request that date!

Are you guys serious!? (curio, Matt) lol

Whatever you say seriously. Go to your dealer and order 10 911s they will fill all the orders for you. Cause thats what Porsche always does right?

There are facts and there are opinions If I take 100 orders tomorrow I'll still have 3 Carrera S coupes for the next 4 months. If you dont know how it works dont make a stupid comment. Im not hyping anything just helping out some 6 speeders. I dont need to get orders here we dont even have enough cars!!!

Thank for your insight though.

Plus I think Porsche would rather sell to other markets where the prices are much higher than the "adjusted" USA prices. So USA the allocations may be lower for the FL cars, esp in light of the recent USDEUR prices.

The USA market is the biggest in the world for Porsche, they really need this market for the business to stay profitable. Prices may be cheaper in the USA then other markets, but Porsche makes a profit on every car they sell, they just make more in the different regions (including Canada).

The fact is, every SoCal dealer, in the largest market, has open slots. I mean, I only have like 6 to choose from within 20 miles. Perhaps they were lying when I visited last week and asked for a slot?

This is not a GT2 we are talking about, which, for a markup they have on the floor as well.

Just take a look at this years sales figures for Porsche - way down across the board except for the Pepper GTS... so yes... Porsche wants to sell A LOT OF 997's... allocations be damned... they need to to keep the stock holders happy.

These are not rare or limited and there is no need to hurry before they are all gone. That's dealership / salesman BS... How do you keep a straight face dude?

I definitely don't see any hurry to get your name on the list. There is plenty of time.

Let's see.

Porsche is like the most profitable car company in the entire world, so they've got things pretty much wired.

Economy is heading down the tubes, with oil prices at all-time highs

Luxury car sales numbers, Porsche included, are evaporating.

And now a modest redesign means Porsche dealers won't have enough cars to sell?

And we're the ones making "stupid" comments?

All I Am Saying Is That The Allocation Is Surprisingly Very Very Light. We Are Only Getting 3 S Coups From September Until December. To Me That Means That Anyone Who Wants One Should Think About Doing It Soon. It Is Not A Gt2 Or A Gt3 You Will Always Be Able To Get One Eventually. If You Want To Order One That Is A Different Case You May Have To Wait A Little Longer. Thats All Im Saying No Saleman Bs. I DONT HAVE ENOUGH CARS TO SELL!!!!!!!!!! Sorry For Trying To Help. Again....

I Give Tons Of Advice To Members On This Board All The Time Through Pms And Phone Calls. Im A Fan First, 6-speed Member Second, Board Sponsor Last.
