pricing on my 997s
Been having a tough time trying to move my car recently..I don't know if its the current economic problem or what but I've had nothing but lowballers and time wasters. Any input on my asking price?...what would be a "steal" for someone to come take it right now?

Enough with this world economy nonsense. It is not selling for two reasons: first, the price is too high; second, the blue interior. I'm assuming that car cost about 90k new, but it is almost 3 model years old. Additionally, you have a high priced paint that I assume is basically worth nothing extra on resale. Also, you have a unique color. Blue on blue is not for everyone. I'd guess the car is worth 60k - 63k, but you need to find someone who likes blue interior.
'06 Coupe with a lot of options (saw your list) for $68K offer is reasonable- I happen to somewhat agree the Blue interior will be an obstacle for some- but your car is great looking and it should go - but I will tell you all the dealers are dealing very low numbers on used cars so it is competitive...
Good luck...

I did bid on this car on ebay and got a counter offer from you (about 5k difference). I must admit that I didn't raise my bid since it was not my target color (white).
But hey, someone might be looking for 'exactly' this color combo who doesn't want to pay 25k more for brand new '09 with DFI and all other goodies, plus full warranty and zero mileage.....

BTW someone would have to pay closer to 45k to have my exact car in new condition. For 25k more you get a bone stock s.
And even if it was 25k more, which its not, what the **** do you expect people to sell their cars for? Under auction price or what? Way to show off your stupidity in that post.

I think that most buyers are waiting for the 09's to be delivered and are going to take advantage of the lower price due to a flood of 3-4 year old cars, it happens to most cars. A lot of cars are going back as the leases are ending, and therefore it is a buyers market. If you need to sell, take the best offer, if you don't need to sell, then wait for the right offer. It is unique, but it is a Porsche, buyers are always around the corner.
One opinion
Beatiful car!! It has all the right options and color to sell . BUT it has a few points of interest too--
It's not selling because:
a) It has MILES !!!! Once a Porsche crosses 10K miles it takes its first depreciation hit and after 20 it's in the upper 50's .
b) it's priced close enough to an 08 discount that the buyer who could meet your price would buy a new one .
I read a few of your posts .... to see if the car has any positive or negative history . This way my opinion has some insight on your specific car.
a) rattle ?
b) starting probs ?
These resolved?
You bought the car only a few months ago . So it's a rather new car and the next buyer would be a third owner .
The 107 price and options attracted you and one other but the 67 ask won't close the deal .
Conclusion -- Keep the car !! You drove it too far to make it worth the time to haggle with the time wasters and low ballers and you don't want to give it away UNLESS you have to .
The price - Crack 60 and you'll sell quickly and with haggle maybe 61.5 tops .
Good luck with the sale .
