Mobridge bt and ipod intsallation

Just wanted to let other porsche owners know that the Mobridge bt unit works great. I got it installed 1 week ago in my 07 c2s cab. The total cost was $1200 including installation. It works perfectly with the pcm. They put the i pod plug in the center console, behind the hand brake. You would think it was a factory job. Nothing appears aftermarket. It was well worth the money.

So this gives you BT for your phone, allowing you to control your phone via PCM, as well as iPod integration, allowing you to control your iPod via PCM?

yes to all above questions. Everything is controlled by PCM and if you wish you can use the key pad to make calls, but it is easy to dial right from the phone book. The I pod is totally controlled from pcm. As soon as you plug it in, the mobridge unit recognizes the i pod. Touching the controls on the i pod has no effect. The Mobridge unit was $900. I think mobridge sells them for $800, but they would not sell directly to me, instead they referred me to an autherized dealer and installer. Either way it is still cheaper and better than what is offered by porsche.
