Thoughts on this 05 997S cab-

Need sanity check-

What do you all think of this S cab for $65k "out the door" price? 1 owner, very nice shape, 24,300 miles on it. In-service date was 5/31/05. A bit more miles on it than I was looking for but it is very clean.

Actually, I've seen a few other cab S cars advertised and this price is now kind of average for the miles / year. Anything with over 20k miles on it, the price really seems to drop. There's a seal gray 05 S cab in Long Beach w/ 30k miles asking $59k.

I'm still more partial to cabs in white

Yeah, looks like a good deal to me. I got a couple of thousand more for my 05 C2S cab in early May, although it did have more options. It had about the same miles.

I don't understand part of your post. The photos of your car don't reveal it having the options you listed (wheels are not Sport Design, Steering wheel is not MF, door finishers aren't aluminum finish, etc.).

Is it a Porsche dealer? If so, have you tried negotiating a CPO to deal with the limited remaining warranty?

Great looking car. Gotta love those cabs. Good luck.

Ken- you are correct, which is part of the reason for the "lower" price. I've found many listings that contain incorrect data for their cars.

Not a pcar dealer so no CPO.

That always frustrated me, when non Porsche dealers would describe options without any idea what they meant. The worst mistake was saying "full leather" interior without knowing what that means in Porsche lingo.

Given the lack of many options, I believe you should be able to get it for a little less, but it depends on how important it is to you for the hassle. Myself, I enjoy the process. In this market, you are in more control than the dealer is. I'd make a lower offer and be willing to walk if they don't accept. Once you start walking they'll likely start countering.

I love black cars and it sure looks nice. Were you certain that you wanted a cab or a coupe ? They are similar but there are differences too . Most folks have a preference .

Nice car, fair price, but maybe you should look at a dealer with a "certified car". It's peace of mind when spending that much money. Just my opinion.

yeah- not much warranty remaining on it / no CPO- black is a pain to keep up but looks beautiful when clean - Really leaning towards seal gray or white. Car does have heated seats.

A lot of cars for sale right now!!
