Skylers Dad,

I'm totally not trying to start anything. To be honest, the same principle that makes 20s not REALLY for Porsches (although I have a set in the garage for mine) is that they are heavy. That means I sacrifice the performance of the car for looks when I 'wear' them. Same with chrome. That's all.

And you CAN tell more of a difference than you think with weight. I have 5 sets of wheels, from ultralight 18" HRE C93s to those Avus 20s that I mentioned. I can definitely tell a difference. Also, I forget what it is, but something like every 25lbs of weight IN the car (not even unsprung like wheels, which is much more drastic) equals 5HP. I know I just butchered that formula. If someone on here really knows it, let us know. But I've read it before. Anyway, that's all I was trying to say... not put anybody on offense.

Usually I'm well spoken. I don't see how I missed the boat on this one, but I'm sorry. Weight = bad for performance. Chrome = weight. Zall.

1 more question guys...if i lower my car, can i still put the stock 19" rims & tires back in during winter months? i dont want to rub.
Those are 20" wheels. I think the widths are 11 and 9, but I'm not positive. The tires are 305/20ZR20 and 245/30ZR20. As for the lowering amount, I'd just be guessing. It has coilovers and has been set up by a race shop. No idea really.

You won't have a problem with lowering your car with lowering springs. The factory wheel/tire set is about the same diameter as the other stuff. You never want to change that. There should be little to no difference. I have many sets of wheels for my car, and they all are about the same in overall outside diameter.
