whats up with Sponsors?
maybe for free listings, but remember these are paying sponsors. Just like advertisers on tv--but much less disruptive--after all, you don't need to click on their post. I'm sure alot of us are business owners -- I sure can relate to both the board owner(s) and the sponsors wanting to maximize the value of their paid partnership. just my 2 cents...
There are other sites that charge members to get full access to all the parts of the forum. Personally I will look at posts from sponsors, besides I have done business with a few of the sponsors based on seeing there posts on this forum.
Just to let you all know, the moderators have done something about this... they just put a section for the sponsors to advertise their products. Excellent idea, its a win win for all. Now when your in the market for something you can browse that section, also good for the sponsors because they can advertise even more with a better scope of getting to the end user. Awesome work everyone involved
PS- I take a little credit, for the idea at least LOL

It was a bit annoying to see the same notice in every section especially when it was preceeded by the statement of "A Work Of Art"!
That's a bit subjective for me especially when I did not see the "ART" in the work!!!
Sponsors all pay for the right to post as they wish.. if it annoys you Bottom line don't click..... Its like watching TV if you don't find something you like to watch dont select the channel.
BTW art & beauty is in the eye of the beholder... ie: A Baby Blue Ferrari...
Yes, you assumed correct.. Everyone has a certain "vision" in mind as to what looks good, to each his own... Nuff said
By the way, you should lay off the NOS... its making you a bit confused, that Ferrari kicks ***, hows that Lexus?

DUDe its a forum, not a mall, i didnt come here to shop, i and most come to share stories, hear stories, get info, give info, share pics and advice. The sponsors are great, therefore they were all pleased to have their own section, read the posts that have come up in that section.

btw.. yes the ferrari kicks ***, but my whole point which you seemed to miss was that a light blue Ferrari is beautiful in the eye of the beholder.. I personally prefer a red Ferrari or a Dark Grey one.. but that is what was meant.. thats why they make cars in all kinds of colors and sizes and brands.
And yes i drive a 50k Lexus GS... as a daily driver.. and i think it kicks *** for what it is... never pretented to think anything less.. and to me, it is a nice car, you might not... but that is the point.. not everything is for eveyone..
I'm pretty sure the vendor forum will be about as popular as an 'all-commercials' tv channel would be. If i were a sponsor i would not see the value in that scheme. Why do some people expect this site to be 'commercial-free'? I don't get it...
I do agree with not posting in every section one perticular thread I know that could get annoying.
As per smokey, I also agreed; if you dont like the channel dont watch it. If you know that for example one of the vendor started a thread like " check out my new wheel is a work of art" dont click on the link specially if you are going to hate ( which I bet even if you dislike that vendor for posting too much you are going to click anyways
). Its obvious that most of you guys love threads like the ones 360 forged does (which by the way big ups JORDAN), I also think its more like an entertainment I enjoy them too and we are in the same business. Not only are you ruining it for other members that enjoy it but you are ruining it for the vendors. At the end of the day I think vendors without abusing, should be a little more free and not so restricted in a " vendor market place" area. I mean we deserve to have exposure on our product as paying vendors and dont tell me that the vendor marketplace is going to get the exposure, you guy know that most no one takes the time to go through that section. By limiting us to that it takes a lot of potential sales away from us, because some of you might not be interested in wheels today but if you see a nice photoshoot on the 997 section you might get into purchasing wheels today and I say wheels because of what we sell but it goes the same for any product. Also I think that some members might miss out on some great deals as most of you dont visit the vendor section but a good deal can be brought to you on another section that you are most likely to go through more often.
Sorry for over stating myself but this is the product that comes from me reading ( for a couple of days) about this new changes and I havent been able to post on it.

Oh by the way light blue rrari not my favorite color either. But more props to you if thats the color you prefer
Sponsors are fine but not when they are in my face.
I don't really care about sponsors, and I'd prefer to pay not to see them. It's what I do on a few other sites.
As to the color of my car, fewer than 30 in the entire 360 production were painted this color, and there are only 8 coupes and 12 spiders in the US.
Not one 430 was sprayed in this color!
So the point is that is offers more value than red, and it's unique. Dealers are loaded with red 360's and 430's. Ask them what colors they would prefer.

Well you know what they say right, you get what you pay for. I seriously doubt that the so called other sites that you pay for don't have any sponsors specially how much does memberships cost, what a few bucks a month( more like $20 a year or so) but any ways that will be a whole other story. I really don't understand what you have against sponsors cause as far as you are concern you don't care about sponsors. I imagine your Tv set it problably has 2 channels (ppv channels) or maybe you just buy dvd's to avoid commercials ( oh no that doesn't work cause dvd bring commercials inside too) oh well I don't know and I don't really care I'm not here to start a war you know ( members against vendors). I just want to bring my point across; us sponsoring vendors are not going to get the right exposure in the time out area this forum gave us. You can see it for yourself, go and check out the "vendors marketplace" and see there is no movement there...
Oh and uh let me give you a clue "yes a clue" That rrari is a blues clues edition ......

Just a Joke, just kidding !!
I did a little reasearch and the blue rrari is growing on me. Looks good.
