let me ad another perspective--

i like the ads on this site!

just like reading a magazine, half the reason for paging through it is to see new products and help me figure out how to spend my money on things i enjoy.

bring back the sponsor postings!

ps. i can't believe the sponsors aren't going ballistic. I would pull my money in a minute if i was treated like this... I'm pretty sure only a very very small percentage of readers give a rip about sponsor postings...

+1, I think this is a mistake that will change this forum, I like seeing posts from suppliers in our section.

Moderators, reverse this change, and for those that don't want to see the posts, don't look at the posts!

I will not pay to be a member of this forum.

Sometimes is hard not to post your products in each section because you are paying for advertising.
I don't know how much it cost to be a sponsor and put banners up here.
But i think is good idea to come up with a Photo Gallery for Vendors to post up their products.
I do enjoy coming here to check this site out.

The time will come where sponsoring vendors will notice that their money spend on your " commercial free" forum is not worth it and will most likely make the decision to take their money to another forum where it will be appreciate more. When that time comes most of you that are pushing vendors away by stating that their postings are bothering your forum surfing (instead of just not clicking on that perticular link) will end up having to join another forum ( because forums need sponsors to stay open) where is most likely for you to run into your unwanted sponsoring vendor threads anyways.

I do agree with not posting in every section one perticular thread I know that could get annoying.

As per smokey, I also agreed; if you dont like the channel dont watch it. If you know that for example one of the vendor started a thread like " check out my new wheel is a work of art" dont click on the link specially if you are going to hate ( which I bet even if you dislike that vendor for posting too much you are going to click anyways). Its obvious that most of you guys love threads like the ones 360 forged does (which by the way big ups JORDAN), I also think its more like an entertainment I enjoy them too and we are in the same business. Not only are you ruining it for other members that enjoy it but you are ruining it for the vendors.

At the end of the day I think vendors without abusing, should be a little more free and not so restricted in a " vendor market place" area. I mean we deserve to have exposure on our product as paying vendors and dont tell me that the vendor marketplace is going to get the exposure, you guy know that most no one takes the time to go through that section. By limiting us to that it takes a lot of potential sales away from us, because some of you might not be interested in wheels today but if you see a nice photoshoot on the 997 section you might get into purchasing wheels today and I say wheels because of what we sell but it goes the same for any product. Also I think that some members might miss out on some great deals as most of you dont visit the vendor section but a good deal can be brought to you on another section that you are most likely to go through more often.
I agree completely, 6speed is a forum, but first and foremost it's a business and this business depends on vendors to pay the bills and stay alive. I feel that out of respect to the forum we should not post threads that are not relevant to that particular section, i.e. no F430's in the 997tt section, cough cough...

However I feel that we do have the right to post model specific advertisements in their respective section, i.e. a new 997tt setup we completed in the 997tt section.

I'm not sure if this thread was sparked due to our aggressive advertising or not, but if you do a search on 360 Forged, the majority of our threads are model specific, and if it is not it's because its a universal product like a new wheel design which pertains to all sections. We don't put Lamborghini Gallardo setups in the Porsche section and vice versa, however as a fast growing company, we do have a ton of activity, several photo shoots weekly, and new products launching all the time, should we not advertise this???

Anyways, like many have said countless times, if you don't like it don't click it. Very simple.

I agree 100% this site is supported and run by sponsors.. without sponsors this site most likely would not exist. I for one signed up on this site because of the 360forged posts! i had never seen so many bad a** cars on one site. Props to 360!! with that being said this forum and their sponsors is how i ended up buying 360 Forged and some other items for my car, from the sponsors.. so for those who ***** and moan over the sponsors posting to much, put yourself in the sponsors shoes... if you paid for it, you would want to get your monies worth by putting your name out there as much as possible. Bottom line.... dont like the post DONT CLICK!

and for the mods.... this will change your site, most people wont look in the vendor forum... i look through all section to see what new, not just from sponsors but, new with anyone sponsor or not.

Let sponsors do what they do...

Just my $.02:

1) Sponsors keep the site running.
2) As long as sponsors are responsible (i.e. Ferrari threads in Porsche forums), let them post as they please.
3) Tell the whiners to go elsewhere. They (in general) are not going to support the sponsors anyway and therefore don't encourage more sponsors to sign up (i.e. more cash to keep the site running). They are simply a drain on the site and everyone's time.
