Quick Question

Got in the car a few minutes ago and a message appeared which said "Check left side marker," and a red exclamation point was lit up on the dash.
After 5 minutes of driving the red exclamation was gone.
Do any of you guys know what this means?

might be a loose connection on the marker bulb in the socket, or maybe the bulb is on it's way out. I'd pop the bulb out and have a look, maybe bend up the bottom bulb contact a bit so it makes tighter contact.

How are you liking the softronic?

Did you check the left side marker? Maybe it was some moisture that was effecting the contact of the bulb.

hformrace1 is infamous around these parts
Its usually a loose connection, especially since the message went away on its own. Out of all the German automobiles mine Vater and I have owned they all had these types of electrical gremlins. Its a pain in the *** to think about but I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Even after warranty, good dealers take care of you and if they don't you can always fix it your self for cheap.

Thanks for the quick responses!

I do like the Softronics.
When I start the car I engage the Sport mode, but disengage the Stiffer shock setting.
The car feels very responsive & quick.

Mine did this for a month, the bulb finally went out.

So, I stopped by a dealership here in northern VA today, without an appointment, and they changed the bulb very quickly. It was the first time I was there and I was impressed with their display of excellent customer service.
