I know this isn't exactly related to the 997 but I'm sure as fellow enthusiasts, you'll agree with me that Phil Hill was a giant amongst mortals. I just read on Edmunds.com that Mr. Hill passed this morning in Monterey, CA.

I've seen some vintage films of him race and he was amazing. And I truly enjoyed several of the articles he contributed to Road and Track.

We lost Paul Frere earlier this year and now Phil Hill. Two absolute giants have passed.

Godspeed Mr. Hill.

At least he lived to a ripe old age.
