Help Dension GW500 and Bt1500 Problem. Stock Phone Module Removal Question

Hi Guys. I have the GW500 and BT 1500 installed in my car. My car doesn't have nav or the cd changer. It does have phone module. I also took it in to porsche to get it to recognize the changer. Once everything was set there, I plugged in my iPod. Nothing on the ipod shows it's connected but it does show it is charging. On my PCM it shows cd 5 track 99 and says aux gw. If I try to switch to disk 6 it goes back to 5 pretty much immediately. I sent the symtoms over to Eric to bumperplugs (who by the way has the best customer service, responding to emails well after 9 est), and he said that I need to disconnect the stock phone module.

Now my question is, how the heck do I disconnect the phone module? Do I have to remove the driver seat to get to it, and if so does anyone have any tips? FWIW I have the power seat package. Thanks guys.

Phone Module

if that's what eric told you, you might as well do it;

The phone module is located under the PASSENGER seat and yes, you better remove the seat (4 bolts)

HOWEVER:
1. DO NOT turn the key on while the seat is removed (and Airbag wires are unplugged) or your SRS light will turn on. no big deal if you have a Porsche PIWIS scan tool or your brother in law is a service manager at a dealership... but why throw money away.
Don't worry, you wouldn't damage anything, just get annoyed.
2. Just Removing the phone module will render your MOST system useless. you must disconnect and bypass the fiber optic connector with a bypass connector (I believe this is supplied with the kit)

Thanks Moni, I was able to get to the module, but I have no idea what the bypass looks like for the optical lines.

Most Bypass

Do you have any leftover parts in your Dension kit ? Any plastic pieces you can't recognize ? Post pictures here ...

No leftover parts, wound up making my own connector from a butt splice and electric tape. But it works.
